I often get the question of can you really make money with Twitter? My answer is always the same… you absolutely can. But, you need to do it with etiquette.

Twitter is a fantastic platform to build relationships, drive traffic and make sales. But, you need to do it really in that order. Before you can expect to make any money on twitter you need to take the time to build relationships.

The more you interact on twitter the better your response will be. If you build a loyal following on twitter your followers will be more likely to visit your sites and eventually purchase for you.

But, like the old saying goes… people buy from who they know, like and trust.

So, if you can build a relationship on twitter and have people know you, like you, and trust you the odds of them buying from you are that much greater.

So, to answer the question, yes you can make money on twitter.

But, you cannot use twitter as a marketing platform only. You need to first build relationships and interact, before you start making sales.

If you follow that little formula you will do just fine.

If you go to twitter and start to spam the heck out of the platform you will be very disappointed, and rightfully so.
