Traffic is essential to any online business. Without it, you are dead in the water. Imagine opening up your very own brick-and-mortar business and no one actually came through the doors. That is what a website is like without traffic. Traffic is your customers. Without your customers you cannot make money. It is as simple as that. So, with any online business you need to concentrate on traffic.
2. List Building
If you are building an online information business, you must start building your permission-based opt in list. Without your very own lists, it is hard to make a steady income online. Especially if you are selling information products. It is very easy to continually add revenue to your business if you can send out an e-mail to a targeted permission-based e-mail list.
This is like having your very own traffic machine at your disposal. You send an e-mail and you get instant traffic. It is truly amazing to see what can happen once you build a responsive permission-based e-mail list.
3. Conversions
Once you’re getting traffic to your website you want to make sure that traffic converts. First, you want that traffic to convert into an opt in subscriber. Then, you want that subscriber to turn into a customer. You want this to happen to as many people as possible.
So, you want to make sure that your conversion rates are continually going up. You want to continually test and track the results. When you can increase your conversions you can instantly increase your revenue. If you just increase your conversion rate by 1% that can make a huge impact on your business. So, you want to make sure that you are continually testing your sites and making sure that your conversions are going up instead of down.
