Setting up Your DNS inside of NameCheap.com

In today’s post we are going to show you how to change the DNS (Domain Name Servers) the process is actually very easy and is done in just a a couple quick steps.

Step 1:

Grab your domain name server information from the e-mail that hostgator.com sent you.

Step 2:

Log into your Namecheap.com account and click on view underneath the account information and next to the heading number of “domains in your account”

 

Step 3:

Click on the domain name that you would like to edit the DNS for.

Step 4:

On the left-hand side click on the link that is titled “Transfer DNS to Web Host”

 

Step 5:

Now all you need to do is paste in your DNS information in the area provided. You paste your DNS 1 information in the spot labeled 1. And you paste your DNS 2 information in a spot labeled 2.
